The Youngs- A Day in the Life

Little 7 year old Avery Young sleeps peacefully in her room. This girl is a little dreamer, who knows what she's dreaming about?  Sometimes she likes to just sit in her room and daydream, and imagines that she's a princess in a tower and a handsome prince in shining armor climbs up the ladder and rescues her and tells her that she's the most beautiful of all. She's a bright girl, always with her nose in a book or her head in the clouds.

Penelope rises early and munches on toast with raspberry jam.  Her daycare business is growing, and today she has 3 little ones coming!  Some call her crazy, but there's nothing she loves more than a house full of little ones.  Her and James have been trying to add to their family for over a year now, but she hasn't gotten pregnant yet.  They tried for almost 2 before Piper came along.  She tries not to dwell on this fact and be thankful to God for her two beautiful girls, which of course she is, but sometimes her heart hurts when she lets herself think about how its possible that she won't have anymore kids. Shes considering talking to James about Invitro Fertilization. She knows how expensive it is though, and wants to research it more before talking to James. She pushes these thoughts out of her head and concentrates on enjoying her toast.

Baby Piper is looking more like her father everyday, or at least that's what Penny says.  Penny can't believe she's just turned 3, and is starting to become more of a little girl than a baby.

James leaves for work with a quick goodbye kiss, and minutes later the bus rolls around the corner for Avery, who's scralling frantically on her homework.  That girl is a genuis, if she could only focus.

"Ugh, school." Avery thinks.  She's like her mother in the way that she gets nervous around a lot of people she doesn't know, and tends to live inside her own head.

Penny's new clients are soon dropped off!  Addison Macintyre is there of course, and her two newbies are Dana Collins and Carol Funke.  Piper is obviously in the mix as well.

Nobody is in too good a mood around here either! It's moments like these that a lot of folks would question their longing for a bunch of kids- but not Penelope.

Penny gets in some snuggling with little Carol. Look at all those freckles!

As the day goes on, the kids moods improve.  As much as she enjoys this, it is exhausting.  Here are Addy and Piper watching a kids TV show; they're pals.

James and Avery come home later to a a tired Penny, seeing off the toddlers as their parents pick them up.  James orders a pizza so Penny doesn't have to cook.

James, Avery, and Penny end the day with a pizza and game night; Avery ends up creaming them both at Mario Kart.  Penny thinks about talking to James about Invitro, but decides tonight is not the night. Another night. Soon.
