The Mirage's

Alex and Andre Mirage make up The Mirage Brothers, an alternative rock group on the rise in Rosedale. They moved to Rosedale when Andre was 20, and Alex 18, to pursue their dream of reaching stardom. With more than 5 years under their belt, their dues are finally beginning to pay off.  They've been gaining some fame around town and getting gigs in local dive bars and clubs.  They rent out a "party house", as they've described it, on the western side of town, and are just some 20-somethings trying to make their mark in the music industry.

After breakfast they decide to get in some practice for their new single, "Of Rain and Broken Hearts"'; Andre wrote the melody and Alex wrote the words.  Alex has been playing the guitar and singing since he was 14; Andre the keyboard since he was 15.

Alex has always been the more sensitive of the pair, a bit more reserved, the poetic soul- and as much as he loves their partying, wild lifestyle, he secretly hopes to settle down someday. He'd never tell his big brother that, though. Andre is a bit more hardcore, and truly lives and breathes rock 'n roll.

After perfecting the song, they decide to head over to Rosedale Pavilion Beach to debut their new single to the public.

The guys were really getting into their groove- this new song was sounding awesome!

The boys were raking in the tips...

Andre makes some calls and decides to throw a crazy kegger at their place tonight.  Then he takes off on his hog to go set up...

Andre and Alex rent out this house virtually for its fab party atmosphere- the backyard is perfect for their wild shindigs!

Andre starts cooking some hot dogs on the grill for the party, and the guests start to arrive.

Some of the early guests: (from left) there's Connor Frio, Payton Washington, Lucy Hart, Scarlett Bell, Jamie Jolina, and Judy Cole.

Alex greets his girlfriend of almost a 2 years, Eden Mason, affectionatley. God, she was beautiful. He still made his pulse race.  He could just loose himself in those turquoise eyes of hers...

Andre starts to flirt with Lucy Hart- they've been hooking up casually for a few months; she's hot and a lot of fun.

The party starts to gain momentum; the mixolgist shows up to start mixing some drinks, and the heavy bass of the music sends ripples across the pool. (and apparently Payton is no fan of Forrest Bell....;))

Andre is practically mid-conversation with Lucy when a new face catches his eye. Why hadn't he noticed THAT blonde hottie before? Alex must have invited her.  She looked good, and without another thought he went right up to her and told her so.

"What's your name beautiful?" Andre asked.  "Jamie Jolina." Jamie blushed.  "I live up the road and I heard the music, I hope its ok that I stopped by."  Andre smirked mischeviously. "Yea yea, mi casa es su casa. My brother and I aren't in the business of turning away beautiful women. Tell me about yourself, Jamie."

"I'm a nurse over at Rosedale Memorial.  I have a roomate and live up the hill in the Hillside Cottages.  I'm usually pretty shy, but I guess I felt like making new friends tonight." says Jamie.  "Well then love, you've come to the right place."  He started to shamelessly flirt with Jamie, and flatter her silly. While he was talking to her, he began to feel Lucy's icy stare.

As his and Jamie's faces grew closer and the conversation more intimate, Lucy's gaze turned into a flat-out stare of fury.  Andre knew in the back of his mind that he might be loosing a booty call in Lucy, but he was a man, and he liked the chase. He was a man. That was his excuse for a lot of things.

Lucy was pissed. She muttered something that sounded like "Sleazeball..." under her breath before leaving the party in a huff. Andre barely noticed.

The party was raging. The mixologist was pouring everyone's favorite drinks and everyone was having a great time, now that Lucy had left.

Andre danced with Jamie, enjoying watching her body sway in front of him.

Andre had a one track mind at this point, and his efforts to get Jamie into his room were having the reverse effect- she started to back off, and Andre was disappointed.  He was a man, after all.

He instead turned to the bar and started to get completley smashed.  Alex was already seeing fuzzy.

Alex leaves the bar long enough to whisper some loving things in his girlfriend's ear. She'd had a few herself, and giggled at his compliments.

The pair steps into the quietness of the house, and Alex can't keep his hands off her.

Before downing his 6th cocktail, Andre becomes aware that there is a new chick hanging all over him- her name was Tori Kimura, he recongnized her from next door.  She was being sloppy as heck, and Andre suspected she was even more wasted than he was.  The way she was rubbing her body against his and looking naughtily into his eyes; he knew he wasn't going to have to make much of an effort to seal this deal.  And that was kind of nice.

Alex lay Eden down on the bed in his room, and kissed her passionatley.

Andre didn't feel like playing any more games. He came right out and kissed her on the lips... (In front of Jamie, thats awkward!)

...and wasn't entirely ready for her almost violent response! She nearly swallowed his face, and Andre felt a touch of revulsion.  He was past it in a moment though, when he thought of what was coming next.  He was a man, after all.

Over in Alex's room, him and Eden were completley enveloped in each other.  He loved the way she always melted under his soft touch. He wanted to make love to her.

And this, ladies and gents, is the euphoric look of a man who knows he's about to get lucky...

.....[15 minutes later]....

When the fun was over, Andre and Tori lay next to each other in bed awkwardly.  "Umm...I guess you should probably be heading out huh? It's getting late...."

While Tori gathered her things and snuck out the door, embarassed, Alex, in the next room, lay awake and watched the love of his life fall gently asleep.
